Level Ex’s RemotePlay is a Google Stadia-like interactive streaming service. It allows customers to play and interact with any of the Level Ex’s many mobile games online, on any device, with a supported web browser. As a full-stack web developer, Taro Omiya implemented a wide range of user-facing features, including:
- The persistent menu bar, which includes features such as:
- Full-screening,
- Changing audio volume,
- Performance logging, etc.
- Lobby with user-tracking. It allows one to enter their name and, with host’s permission, start playing the app.
- Administrative tools for the host. This includes:
- Deciding when to start the app.
- Granting and revoking an user permissions to interact with the web app,
Tools used to develop the app consists of Typescript, Javascript, HTML, and CSS. Taro Omiya has also assisted in developing an AWS virtual machine hosting RemotePlay with Ubuntu Linux and NVidia drivers.
